Featuring Nancy Hunt, Steven Feierman, and Jacob Sabakinu Kivilu, the lecture on Friday, September 21 (4:00PM) will be followed by dinner and the opportunity to share memories of Jan (7:00PM).
In addition to the lecture and dinner, the African Studies Program will organize a symposium on various aspects of Jan’s legacy for the morning of Saturday, September 22 (9:00AM-12:00PM).
All events are free and open to the public, but registration is required. Registrants will have the opportunity to indicate their interest in presenting at the symposium.
