The Dharma Drum Institute of Liberal Arts' Buddhist Studies Department and Language and Translation Center will be holding a month-long intensive summer course in reading Chinese Buddhist texts from July 31 to August 25, 2017.
This program is open to all students interested in improving their proficiency with reading Classical Chinese Buddhist texts. This year prof. Stefania Travagnin will give a course on the Dazhidulun (大智度論). Students will also be reading Qisong's (契嵩) Confucian defense of Buddhism in his Xinjinwenji (鐔津文集) with prof. Teng Weijen.
