Sessions will explore the ideas of a free society using history, economics, philosophy, and other disciplines, offering new insights and inspiration for tackling many societal issues. Students will discuss and debate ideas with enthusiastic faculty and students from around the world throughout the day and enjoy socials late into the night.  All costs of attendance are included, aside from travel.

The deadline for your students to apply for a 2017 IHS Summer Seminar is next Wednesday, April 12th. Many students have referred to summer seminars as “life-changing” and leave feeling inspired to continue learning about the principles of a free society. They provide an intensive, week-long experience for students to explore classical liberal thought during lectures, discussion groups, meals, and socials.

Students will:

  • Increase their knowledge across academic disciplines

  • Strengthen their critical thinking skills

  • Gain access to an outstanding interdisciplinary network of intellectuals

  • Discover new career possibilities

IHS provides lodging and meals during the course of the program; students are only expected to cover the cost of travel to the seminar, and limited travel scholarships are available. Students can visit the summer seminars page to learn more and apply.
