Bridges Across Cultures is an International Conference on the Arts and Humanities. Our third, biennial conference, is to be held in Vasto, Italy June 11th-14th, 2017. The “Bridges” conference provides an international venue and opportunity for academicians and professionals from various arts and humanities-related fields from all over the world to come together and learn from each other. This conference serves as a place for scholars and experts with cross-disciplinary interests related to arts and humanities to meet and interact with members within and outside of their own particular disciplines.
You are cordially invited to submit an abstract for papers in English. All areas of arts and humanities are invited, but of particular interest are papers in the following fields: American Studies, Art History, Ethnic Studies, Film, History, World Literature, Popular Culture, Postcolonial Identities, Religion, Theatre, Visual Arts and Cross-disciplinary areas of arts and humanities.

Andrea Minuz (Sapienza University of Rome). His current research interests concern Italian cinema with particular reference to film industry, audience and reception studies. Among his most recent publications: Dell’incantamento. Hitchcock, Bergman, Fellini e il «motivo dello sguardo»(2009); La Shoah e la cultura visuale. Cinema, memoria, spazio pubblico(2010); F.W. Murnau. L’arte di evocare fantasmi (2010); Viaggio al termine dell’Italia. Fellini politico (english translation for Berghahn Books in 2016). His last work is Quando c’eravamo noi. Nostalgia e crisi della sinistra da Berlinguer a Checco Zalone. He collaborates with magazine and newspapers like “Il Foglio”; “IL Sole24 ore”; “Rivista Studio”).
