The park and the museum offer field trips throughout the year for students that connect to both Kentucky standards and teachers’ class curricula. Students can visit the museum, the Kids Barn, the Hall of Champions, the Big Barn and the Breeds Barn, with picnic-style lunches. The Kentucky Horse Park Field Trip Fund offers admission support for any school in which at least 50 percent of the students qualify for free or reduced-price meals for trips taken from March 31 through May 31. A bus fund is also available to offset transportation costs.
During the teacher day on April 8, teachers will meet the IMH education coordinator and will have the rest of the day to enjoy the park’s daily shows, the IMH and the American Saddlebred Museum.
