As part of a series of journal special issues and related book series Kent State University and AMPS (Architecture, Media, Politics, Society) welcomes papers for publication through the confernce "Alternatives to the Present", held in Cleveland Ohio, November 1st-2nd 2018.

Papers are welcome from various discipines around the themes of urban development, community, demographic studies, public policy, historical migration, and more.
