The University Press of Kansas is seeking applications for a new editor for its Modern War Studies series. The current series editor, Theodore A. Wilson, is retiring at the end of 2018.
Initiated in 1986, the Modern War Studies series publishes several books each year in military history, from the mid eighteenth century to the present. The Press seeks an energetic senior military historian who will seek out new and innovative projects for the series. The successful series editor will possess a Ph.D. and have a strong publishing track record. He or she should be familiar with current trends in the field, have a strong and extensive network of contacts, possess excellent communication skills, and be an outstanding time manager.
Interested parties should send a cover letter and resume no later than June 1, 2018 to Joyce Harrison, Editor-in-Chief, University Press of Kansas, 2502 Westbrooke Circle, Lawrence, KS 66045 or email@example.com.
