Academics and Digital Media: Tools for Effective Engagement. A two-day free workshop for early to mid career academics
The Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations is delighted to invite applications from early to mid career academics with a specialism in history or the social sciences for a two-day interactive workshop generously funded by the British Academy’s Rising Stars scheme . The course will share practical advice and industry insights into making the best use of digital media to publicise your work and your ideas. The aim is not only to share knowledge about the media environment and the skills to navigate it, but also to build a group of academics who are interested in media engagement and prepared to support one another in developing media profiles in their different areas.
Places are limited at the event. In case of over-subscription, prospective attendees may be asked to write a short statement (150 words) to explain their interest. The event is free to attend.
The deadline for applications is Friday 28 October 2016.
If you would like to apply please register here or email philip.wood@aku.edu setting out your name, affiliation, email and postal address, phone number and current position.
