The editors of Historical Studies, an annual peer-reviewed publication of the Canadian Catholic Historical Association, are pleased to announce the publication of the latest volume. Articles in Historical Studies 2016 deal with the Basilian order and the governance of St. Michael’s College, the controversy over the Transubstantiation Oath in Canada at the turn of the twentieth century, and a case study of a polio patient in early twentieth century Quebec. Book reviews are a new feature in 2016.
Historical Studies invites original articles relating to the history of Catholicism in Canada. Comparative studies that deal with Canada and another country are also welcome. The print edition is issued in the fall and is also available electronically through Proquest and Ebsco. It is accessible a year after publication on the CCHA website.
Submissions are received throughout the year, but for consideration for publication in the following September, the editors should receive them by mid-November.
For more information and submission guidelines, please visit the Historical Studies page at www.cchahistory.org or contact the editors.
