Vernacular: New Connections in Language, Literature, and Culture is a peer-reviewed journal organized by the graduate students in the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Tennessee. It is dedicated to sharing current academic investigations and creative works of master's and doctoral students in comparable disciplines from universities across the globe.
The journal accepts high-quality submissions of scholarly essays, book reviews, and interviews, as well as short stories and poetry. We welcome submissions written in German, French, Spanish, or English.
