SOUTHERN STUDIES CONFERENCE at Auburn University Montgomery—10-11 February 2017

REMINDER: Now in its ninth year, the AUM College of Arts and Sciences invites panel and paper proposals on any aspect of Southern history from Civil War to Civil Rights, from dueling to NASCAR, from King Cotton to corn whiskey. This two-day conference includes a keynote presentation by Dr. J. Mills Thornton III. Registrants to the conference will also be able to enjoy a variety of peer-reviewed panels and exhibits on southern topics representing all of the liberal arts disciplines. Proposals should include a 250-word abstract and a brief CV. They can be emailed to southernstudies@aum.edu. The deadline is 15 October 2016.
