Scientific substantiation
This workshop aims to bring together works of researchers to investigate, from various disciplines and perspectives, the influence on both sides of the Atlantic, of population flows and relations between civil society (political, trade, cultural, religious ...) in different areas of contemporary life (work, society, politics, culture ...). Specially, seeks to analyze the role of youngsters - who played a key part in the migration processes- in transoceanic exchanges between different youth organizations, during a period when youth was both subject and object of various active policies and youth associations experienced an unprecedented growth and development. We try to create a space for interdisciplinary debate on these issues and on the theoretical and methodological tools needed to study youth as historical subject.
