Call For Papers:
The China Studies Programme of Hong Kong Baptist University is pleased to announce the Call For Papers for the 4th Young Scholars’ Conference on China Studies. The Conference will be held on 19 -20 December 2016 at the Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong. This conference aims at offering a great opportunity for postgraduate students and young faculty members to build up a stronger professional network in China Studies to better facilitate your research and future development.
 
Organizers & Co-organizers:
The organizers of the Conference are China Studies Programme, Hong Kong Baptist University, Institute of Creativity and Advanced Institute for Contemporary China Studies of Hong Kong Baptist University. Co-organizers of the Conferences including School of Humanities, School of Social Sciences, Institute of Education of Tsinghua University, Institute of Taiwanese History, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Max Weber Foundation, Asia-Pacific Cluster for Chinese Entrepreneurial Studies, the University of Queensland, Australia.
 
Conference Themes:
We are inviting proposals for paper presentation addressing the “Global Perspectives on China Studies” through one of the following themes:
 

Economics

Geography

Sociology

History

International Relation Studies

Language Studies

Educational Studies

Cultural Studies

Business and management

Sinology

Proposal ideas that extend beyond these thematic areas will also be considered.

Professor Jonathan Unger, College of Asia and the Pacific, Australian National University
Professor Yanrui Wu, Business School, University of Western Australia

Submission of Abstracts:
Interested scholars are welcome to submit the application form on or before 1st September 2016(23:59 Hong Kong Time) . Authors of the accepted papers will be allowed present at the Conference. The Conference honors papers that exemplify the highest standards in enlightenment and academic contribution. 

Conference Details: 
For overseas participants, HKBU would provide accommodation at the NTT International House on the campus, on a twin sharing basis from Dec. 18 to Dec 21. Meals during the 2-days-conference are included. The registration fee for the conference is waived.
