Please join faculty and colleagues for a two-week NEH Summer Institute, "The Native American West: A Case Study of the Columbia Plateau." The Institute will be held at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington from June 17-July 1, 2018.

The Institute aims to foster two- and four-year college and university faculty as they embed content about the American West, the Native American West, and the Columbia Plateau into new or existing courses in history, literature, art, Native American studies, and more.

The Institute will reserve at least five spaces for non-tenure track faculty (including tribal college and community college faculty) and up to three spaces for advanced graduate students. We encourage applications from across disciplines.

The application period is now open! Applications are due March 1, 2018 and applicants will be notified March 28, 2018. Visit https://www.nativeamericanwest.org/ for full details and information about how to apply.
