CFP - DEADLINE EXTENDED for Southern History of Science Conference (SoHoST) to Feb. 12
The 12th annual meeting of the Southern History of Science and Technology Conference (SoHoST) will be held on March 23-24 at Mississippi State University. The deadline for abstracts has been extended to February 12, 2018.
We invite faculty, graduate students, and independent scholars to submit proposals for papers on any topic in the history, sociology, or anthropology of science, technology, and medicine. Papers on pedagogy, research methods, and digital humanities are also invited. We especially encourage proposals for joint sessions or roundtables.
Interested scholars should submit a brief (~250 word) abstract via our website, sohost.wordpress.com/cfp or via e-mail to Dr. Davide Orsini (dorsini@history.msstate.edu).
SoHoST brings together new and established scholars from all over the southern United States. Founded at Mississippi State in 2007, it is a showcase for the region’s growing community in the history of science, STS, and related fields. This year's program features a keynote address by Dr. James Fleming of Colby College. Subject to availability, free housing may be available for graduate student presenters in the homes of our graduate students or faculty.
