THREE WEEKS SUMMER SCHOOL

ON

DECIPHERING, READING AND ANALYSING PERSIAN ARCHIVAL DOCUMENTS, MANUSCRIPTS AND INSCRIPTIONS

Objectives:

• To impart knowledge about the different writing styles of Persian script, Manuscript terminology, Seyaq ( Medieval Persian accounting system) etc.
• To decipher, read and analyse the Persian archival data, manuscripts, and inscriptions.

Course Structure:

• Course starts from 7th July2023 till 31st July 2023.
• 4 classes a week in hybrid mode (online and offline).
• Timing: 4PM-8PM IST

Seats: 25

Fee:

• Foreign Students: USD 300
• Indian Students: IN 5000

Eligibility:

• Master's degree (preference will be given to Persian knowing person).
• A statement of purpose in maximum 500 words to join the course.
• Link will be provided to the selected candidates through email for fee payment.

NOTE: Those who wish to join summer school in offline mode have to make their own accommodation arrangement. For foreign students the Department may recommend to the university Hostel/ guest houses subject to the availability of the room. Students have to pay. charges themselves
