We would like to invite you to contribute a chapter in an edited book focused on Türkiye’s Foreign and Security Policy in the 21st century. This year, Türkiye celebrates its 100th anniversary. In its 100 years of history, Türkiye has developed different foreign policy and security strategies. Since its foundation, Türkiye established close economic and military ties with the West, became a member country of the NATO and still follows the policy of being a member of the EU. On the other hand, Türkiye has sought to rebrand itself as one of the world powers. Given its geostrategic location, Türkiye can have an influence the Middle East, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea region, the Central Asia and the Caucasus.

As tensions with the Western strategic partners like the USA and the EU persist, Türkiye is developing its relationship with Russia and China. Türkiye has opposed Western sanctions on Russia and tries to position itself as a mediator in the Russia-Ukraine war. One of the main aims of the book project is to forecast Türkiye’s foreign policy and security strategies for the near future.
