Ecumenica invites the submission of reviews (between 1000-2500 words) of any recent performance event that engages a relationship with religious belief, spirituality and/or religious practice. Such performances may include, but are not limited to, theatre, dance, music, performance art, installations, acts of worship, pilgrimage and protest, from any religious context and any part of the world. We encourage reviews which ask what performance is doing in its religious/aesthetic/embodied/political contexts and re-imagine what religion and performance might be. (Longer reviews will be accepted that offer significant critical engagement).
