The Popular Culture Association in the South and the American Culture Association in the South meet every year to present and discuss ideas about popular culture, American and world-wide. We also encourage individual submissions and panels of creative writing. We invite panels organized around one issue or theme.

Submissions: Papers are limited to twenty (20) minutes or less. Submissions from graduate and undergraduate students are welcome. Prizes are awarded for the best student paper each in popular culture studies and American culture studies (completed papers submitted for awards are due September 1st).

To submit: click abstract submissions on the right-hand side menu. Once there, you will be prompted to log in or to create an account with WordPress. Follow all directions and please provide us with an e-mail where you can be reached this summer.

There will also be some special sessions and areas that will post their own CFPs. These will be sent out separately and will be available on our website. If you would like to submit to one of these, please follow their specific submission instructions.
