Lt Col Amy McGrath Henderson USMC, USNA ’97 and the first woman to fly the F/A-18 in combat during Operation Enduring Freedom for the US Marine Corps, will be inducted into the Kentucky Aviation Hall of Fame on November 12, 2016.

She is a native of Kenton County in northern Kentucky, a 1993 graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills, and had received the Superintendent’s Appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy. After completing a bachelor's degree in Political Science at the U.S. Naval Academy, she earned an M.A. in Global Security Studies at The Johns Hopkins University.

She is currently on the faculty at the U.S. Naval Academy.
