The School of Liberal Arts, the Department of Humanities, and the History Program at Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry, NY is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Undergraduate History Undergraduate Conference to take place on Saturday, 7 April 2018. Open to all undergraduates from any institution of higher education, this conference is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students to showcase their research for their peers and experts in the field of history.
We invite undergraduate papers that explore the study of history with different themes, geographies, and time. We look forward to an inclusive conference to spark a variety of scholarly responses and generate a lively exchange of ideas. Presentations should be no more than 20 minutes in length with additional time for discussion. A $200 prize will be offered for the best paper presented at the conference. Papers will be read and judged prior to the conference date by a panel of history professors.
Undergraduate students who are interested in presenting are asked to submit a 250-word abstract and complete an electronic application form by Wednesday, 28 February 2018. Notification of acceptance will occur soon after. All accepted applicants will have until Wednesday, 28 March 2018 to submit completed papers (not to exceed ten pages).
