Concept Note:
The North East India Region has a diverse cultural, religious, and linguistic heritage. It also has a unique landscape and a variety of natural resources. Because the region is rich in natural resources and biodiversity, sustainable development is a critical concept in North East India. Due to rapid population growth, industrialization, and climate change, the region faces a number of challenges in terms of socioeconomic development, environmental conservation, and sustainable development. To address these issues, it is critical to understand the region's environmental and social dynamics to develop strategies for long-term development. Studying sustainable development in North East India can help to identify the region's potential for economic growth and development, while also protecting the environment and promoting social justice.
Since the region of North East India is distinct and diverse, with its own set of challenges and opportunities, this edited book seeks to investigate various perspectives from North East India on the region's challenges and opportunities for sustainable development. We invite contributions from researchers, scholars, practitioners, and policymakers from a variety of disciplines, including economics, sociology, anthropology, political science, public policy, environmental studies, and others related to sustainable development in the North-East region of India.
