The 5th summer school of economic history, which will meet to Suse (Italy), on August 28th, 29th and 30th, 2016, will deal with " Economies of quality. The people and the things on the medieval and modern markets ". This theme will allow to pursue and to deepen those who were developed in the previous years (the value of things, poverty, the commons, means of payment). The question of the quality is situated between history and economic sociology, allowing to study as well productive and trade mechanisms as that of know-how.

It will gather researchers and PhD students of any nationalities. Institutions : Paris 1 Pantheon - Sorbonne university, University of Toulouse 2 Jean Jaurès, EPHE and CNRS ; LAMOP (UMR 8589, Paris 1 / CNRS), FRAMESPA (UMR 5136, Toulouse 2 / CNRS), IDHES (UMR 8533 Paris 1 / CNRS), SAPRAT (EA 4116 EPHE), LabEx HASTEC. Under the patronage of the French Association of economic history (AFHE).

Fifteen places are available for young researchers and PhD students. Part of travel expenses, board and lodging will be covered by the organizers.
