Call for A Book Chapter for Book "Meaningful and Active Engagement of Families of Students with Disabilities"

Hello Esteemed Authors, 

Family engagement is integral to a student's education, particularly a student receiving special education services. Yet, despite its importance, many educators and service providers indicate that they are not fully prepared to engage diverse families of students with disabilities through their training program. Additionally, there are limited resource books for teachers and service providers on how to engage meaningfully and actively with families of students with disabilities.  

The link below is a call for a book chapter, "Meaningful and Active Engagement of Families of Students with Disabilities." Please submit a book chapter and share your work and experiences in a book we are editing. Also, please share with your colleagues, practitioners, teachers, and service providers such as early intervention specialists, therapists, school counselors, school psychologists, and spoken and sign language interpreters. Also, we welcome chapters written by parents of students with disabilities.

Submission Procedure: 

The Chapter Proposal submission is on or before January 11, 2023 (Extended to February 10^th Due to the Holidays). The chapter proposal is 1,000 to 2,000 words, clearly explaining the mission and concerns of the proposed chapter. Authors will be notified within two business days after submission about the status of their proposals. Full chapters are expected to be submitted by May 11, 2023, 

All submitted manuscripts will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.  

There are no publication fees for your work.  

The publisher, IGI, expects the complete book in October 2023, and we look forward to this nine-month journey with you all!
