The History Department at Northern Arizona University is pleased to invite applications for the position of Assistant Teaching Professor in Modern European History with the training and expertise to teach topics related to World History and/or a region outside Europe. Candidates with expertise in colonialism, race and ethnicity, histories of servitude, African diaspora, or gender are especially encouraged to apply.

The anticipated start date is Fall 2023. This is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track, benefit eligible position. The position is renewable with ability for promotion. Primary responsibilities for this position are to regularly teach the second half of the world history survey, the European surveys, and to develop undergraduate courses in their area of specialty.
