CALL FOR PAPERS
Annual meeting of the
Southwest Conference on Asian Studies (SWCAS)
University of the Incarnate Word
San Antonio, Texas
Oct. 14-15, 2016
We welcome scholars and graduate students from any discipline to submit proposals for individual papers or panels on any topic related to Asian studies. The conference will be held at the campus of The University of The Incarnate Word in historic San Antonio, Texas on October 14-15, 2016.
Pre-registration of $60.00 ($20.00 for students) includes lunches on Friday & Saturday plus reception and dinner on Friday evening. Stipends available for accepted Student presenters.
Hotel and conference information, program and guides to San Antonio activities will be posted on the SWCAS website as they become available over the summer/early fall months.
Panel proposals should include the following: (1) A panel summary (250 words max.) that includes a brief description of each paper and makes clear the connection between the papers; (2) A list of participants, their paper titles, their affiliations and their contact information, including email addresses.
Individual paper proposals should include the following: (1) Paper title and summary (150 words max.); (2) Presenter's name, affiliation, and contact information, including email addresses.
