Greetings,  

My name is Keenan Colquitt, Jr. I am the Program Lead for Diversity Scholar Engagement with the National Center for Institutional Diversity (NCID). I facilitate programs and initiatives; such as the Diversity Scholars Network (DSN). 

NCID's goal is to create a more equitable and inclusive society by producing, catalyzing, and elevating diversity research and scholarship. The DSN seeks to foster academic, educational, and social connections and environments that facilitate the professional success of diversity scholars.

Our application process has begun and we welcome your application.

Our application is short and can be completed in less than 10 minutes. Before beginning this application, make sure you are prepared to briefly describe your research, your scholarly work, and your current and/or upcoming projects. Lastly, you should be prepared to include an updated CV and profile picture as a part of your public DSN directory profile.

As a member of the DSN, you gain access to an interdisciplinary, multi-institutional community of scholars committed to advancing understandings of historical and contemporary social issues related to identity, difference, culture, representation, power, oppression, and inequality — as they occur and affect individuals, groups, communities, and institutions. NCID’s collaborations with Dr. Charles H.F. Davis III exemplifies the benefits joining the DSN can offer. Dr. Davis’s scholarly work broadly focuses on issues of race and racism, systems of oppression, and structures of domination in U.S. higher education and its social contexts. His ethnographic work examines contemporary student activism at the intersections of campus and community, specifically focusing on the mobilization of resources and tactical repertoires used to achieve movement goals. 

As a 2022 Anti-Racism Collaborative Research & Community Impact Fellow, Dr. Davis advances his research as principal investigator of the #PoliceFreeCampus Project, and founding director of Campus Abolition Research Lab, an interdisciplinary research incubator focused on leveraging data and critical analyses toward dismantling carceral university approaches and reimagining postsecondary education as a life-affirming institution.
