Austrian Festkultur - from Habsburg court ritual to the media spectacles of the present day, from Volksfeste to festivals of high culture and classical music - offers a broad field of enquiry. This conference, organised by the Ingeborg Bachmann Centre for Austrian Literature and Culture at the Institute of Modern Languages Research, London, in conjunction with the University of Kent and the MHRA, marks the publication of the 25th-anniversary issue of Austrian Studies.
