We are looking for a contributor or a collaboration of contributors to submit an article for a special issue of the Library Trends journal focused on Indigenous Librarianship. We are most interested in reports/articles documenting the revitalization of Indigenous languages and the role of librarianship in this process. Indigenous Librarianship (IL) is a sub-field and a critical component of Library and Information Science (LIS). This issue surveys major areas constituting Indigenous Librarianship practices. It brings emerging Indigenous scholars’ voices to the Library and Information Science field; and highlights collaborations among Indigenous practitioners, scholars and allies.
Library Trends is one of the leading library journals in North America. It is published quarterly by the Johns Hopkins University Press.
