Call for Abstracts: 3rd Edition of International Security and the Environment (ISE): Climate and Environmental Change: Problems, Solutions, Resistance (International Conference)
The third edition of the international conference International Security and the Environment, under the sub-theme of Climate and Environmental Change: Problems, Solutions, Resistance, will be hosted by Chiang Mai University on the 28th-29th February, 2024. This two day event will be held in collaboration with Mae Fah Luang University.
The conference aims to bring together a broad range of participants including policymakers, academics, civil society, and students by providing a platform for dialogue on some of the most pressing global challenges related to climage and environmental change.
Since the overarching themes of the conference are international security and the environment, the conference invites abstracts on a diverse range of topics such as for instance:
the global governance of climate change, environmental and ecological security, sustainable development, resilience approaches to climate change, geopolitics and the environment, energy security, environmental change and migration, gender based approaches to climate and environmental change, resistance and critical approaches.
Abstract submission
Abstract submission is invited for the international conference "International Security and the Environment" at Chiang Mai University. Abstracts will be accepted up until and including the 15th November, 2023. Abstracts should be no more than 250 words and sent to Matthew Robson (matthew.r@cmu.ac.th). Authors will be advised of the outcome between the 15th-16th November, 2023.
Registration
There is no registration fee for this event. Authors will be asked to confirm their participation at the conference by email during the last two weeks of November, 2023, and also their commitment to send their final papers by the 15 th February, 2024.
Date and location
The conference will take place on the 28th and 29th February, 2024. Adopting a hybrid format, authors will be able to participate onsite at the Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration of Chiang Mai University, or alternatively online.
