Call for contributions for an edited volume on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 and Women: Theory and Practice

Editor: Dr. Seema Shekhawat (author of Gender, Conflict and Peace in Kashmir, Cambridge University Press, 2014 and editor of Female Combatants in Conflict and Peace, Palgrave Macmillan, 2015). 

 

This volume intends to compile carefully selected research pieces on theory and practice of UNSC Resolution 1325 within the global discourse on intersection of gender and conflict. It particularly seeks case studies on the crucial gender related issues as emphasized in the Resolution, particularly participation in peace process.

 

The contributors are welcome to adopt transdisciplinary approaches and methodological pluralism.

 

Proposals of 800-1000 words together with a brief bio of no more than 500 words should be sent as a single word file to seeshekhawat@gmail.com
