Dear colleagues,
From the GLOBALGUNS project (H2020 MSCA IF 2018 n°845675) funded by the European Union and coordinated by researcher Brice Cossart and the PAI HUM 1000 group, "History of Globalization: violence, negotiation and interculturality" we invite all interested scholars to the international colloquium "State navies, transnational Private Economic Networks and the Circulation of Technology (1500-1800)" which will take place on November 14 and 15, 2022.
This international colloquium proposes to re-evaluate the duality of the relationship between states and military technology in the modern era, inviting participants and attendees to consider the contribution of a third element: the transnational private economic networks that supplied states with technological resources for warfare.
The event will take place at the UPO's headquarters and campus, with a live broadcast by Zoom. The detailed program and zoom access codes are available at:

We hope that the session will be of interest to you.
Best regards,
Igor Pérez Tostado
PI of the PAI HUM 1000 group "History of globalization: violence, negotiation and interculturality".
