The early Modern Forum at NTU is hosting its inaugural one-day conference at the Clifton Campus of Nottingham Trent University on 14 July 2016. The Plenary speaker will be Professor Peter Marshall who will present the paper: ‘Changing Identities in the English Reformation’ .

Proposals for 15-minutes papers are invited on the four themes of Literature and Language; Religion and Religious Change; Gender; Society. The temporal period covered is 1550-1815. The conference will bring together experienced academics and postgraduate researchers working on these varied, but linked fields of early modern studies. The four themes will be reflected in the session structure on the day.

Proposals should be no more than 300 words long contained within a word document and submitted to either Professor Martyn Bennett (martyn.bennett@NTU.ac.uk) or Miss Helen Drew (helen.drew2008@my.ntu.ac.uk) on or by 14 April 2016.
