Brill welcomes innovative and fresh perspectives in the Avant-Garde Critical Studies series.
Founded in 1987, it is the only interdisciplinary series focusing on the avant-garde, combining literature, arts, architecture and more. The series cultivates dialogues between disciplines and invites for further research. Some of the recent titles we are excited about:
Sport and the European Avant-Garde (1900-1945)
The Spatiality of the Hispanic Avant-Garde
Marianne Werefkin and the Women Artists in Her Circle (available in Open Access)
Brill's dedication to the topic of avant-garde is worth exploring, as it has brought forward the Journal of Avant-Garde Studies. The first volume out and published as Open Access. There is even a Companion Series in the works on cultural histories of the avant-garde in understudied areas.
Would you like to be part of Brill's avant-garde program and contribute with your perspective?
Authors are warmly invited to submit their book proposals, article proposals and more to the Senior Acquisitions Editor at Brill, Masja Horn (Masja.Horn@brill.com)
