Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that the seminar series 

Understanding 1989 in East-Central European Art. War vs.Revolution 


led by the Piotr Piotrowski Center for Research on East-Central European Art at Adam

Mickiewicz University in Poznań, funded by the Getty Foundation's Connecting Art Histories project is now launched.


Team: Magdalena Radomska & Edit András (project leads), Caterina Preda, and Boris Buden senior researchers. 


The project is a series of four one-week traveling seminars (in Sarajevo, in Bucharest, a virtual one via Zoom, and in Poznań) for which we are now recruiting participants. 


Fully funded places are available for fifteen fellows predominantly from East, Central, and Southeastern Europe but also from other countries. The program targets early-career scholars of art history or related disciplines.
