The Associated Medical Services (AMS) Postdoctoral Fellowship provides support to a core of the most promising researchers at a pivotal time in their careers. Candidates should be embarking on a period of full time post-PhD degree studies and wish to add to their experience by engaging in research in Canada or abroad. The fellowships are intended for emerging scholars to complete work already started on projects related to the history of health care, disease, medicine or the education of health professionals, or to begin a new project in the field. For the 2016 competition, the AMS is particularly interested in supporting postdoctoral fellows in the areas of aboriginal health and health professional education in humanistic care.
