Johns Hopkins University Sheridan Libraries recently completed a project funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission to digitize approximately 65,000 pages of correspondence exchanged between important historical figures and Daniel Coit Gilman, Johns Hopkins University's first president and one of the most important education innovators in American history.
