13th Annual Queen City Colloquium Graduate History Conference

The History Graduate Student Association at the University of Cincinnati is pleased to announce its thirteenth annual Queen City Colloquium Graduate History Conference, to take place on Friday, April 15, 2016. This conference is an opportunity for graduate student scholars to present original research and receive critical feedback from peers and experts in their respective fields. The keynote speaker is Dr. William Bergmann, Associate Professor at Slippery Rock University and author of The American National State and the Early West.

We invite submissions of individual papers from graduate students at all levels of study. Proposals may cover all fields and approaches of historical scholarship and span all chronological and geographical boundaries.

Proposals are due by February 15, 2016. Submissions should include a working title and a brief abstract that includes a description of the central argument. In addition, a copy of the scholar’s curriculum vitae should be attached. Please limit abstracts to 250-300 words.

Participants will be notified by March 1, 2016. If selected, participants must submit a final title by March 31, 2016.
