“What makes for human thriving?” If you are a researcher in the field of Christian theology working on the question of human thriving in the contemporary era, we invite you to apply for this exciting program at the Center of Theological Inquiry in Princeton, NJ (USA).

This question about the concept and conditions of human flourishing around the world is at the core of the Center’s new cross-training program in the psychological sciences for researchers in any branch of Christian theology, including systematic, philosophical, moral, practical, biblical, and postcolonial theologies. CTI invites theologians who are conducting research on human thriving in their context, or on related themes, to apply for a two-year study program on psychological science and its critical evaluation and application in theologies of thriving.

Successful applicants will join one of the two peer groups of six theologians in the study and research phases of this cross-training program in psychology, June 2023 - May 2025.

Applicants should hold an advanced degree in Christian theology or equivalent and a full-time faculty position at an accredited Higher Education Institution. Applications Portal open: October 1, 2022 – January 15, 2023. For more information and to apply, go to ctinquiry.org/apply.

This program is made possible by a grant from the John Templeton Foundation.
