35th Annual UNC Charlotte Graduate History Association Forum
"Conquering Conflict, Overcoming Obstacles"
March 17th & 18th, 2023
Call for Papers
The Graduate History Association at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte is proud to announce our 35th Annual Graduate History Association Forum, which will take place in person this year. We are pleased to announce Dr. Claudia Yaghoobi, from UNC Chapel Hill, as our keynote speaker, and Dr. Jill Massino, from UNC Charlotte, as our distinguished speaker.
The theme for this year's forum is "Conquering Conflict, Overcoming Obstacles." In selecting this theme, this forum encourages researchers to examine instances where people in history have not allowed their obstacles to stop them. We encourage students from both undergraduate and graduate levels, in all historical fields, as well as disciplines outside of history, to submit paper proposals for consideration.
Students interested in presenting at the conference must submit a 250-word (maximum) abstract along with a current resumé or CV by February 1st, 2023. Notifications of acceptance will be sent via e-mail by February 8th, 2023. Accepted presenters will have until February 17th, 2023, to submit completed papers. This forum will be held in person, but if an interested presenter has extenuating circumstances they can contact us for a virtual option.
