In the email, please briefly introduce yourself (2-3 sentences would suffice. It is optional to include your CV) and list the history genres you would like to review books in (such as Egyptian history, Medieval England, etc). When a book in your genre is available, we will let you know.
A book review at World History Encyclopedia should:
- Be less than 600 words.
- Summarize the book.

- Compare the book to other publications in that field.
We also welcome suggestions for book reviews. If you would like to review a history book you have read or wish to read, also feel free to contact us. After discussing the book with the editor to decide whether the book is within World History Encyclopedia’s coverage, we will do our best to request the book for you.
Being a book reviewer at World History Encyclopedia is a volunteer position, but it will expose you to a variety of current history scholarship.
