Opportunity for female postdoc in art history (late 19th to 21st century) from Eastern Europe

As a scout for the Henriette Herz Program of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (https://www.humboldt-foundation.de/en/apply/sponsorship-programmes/henriette-herz-scouting-programme), I am looking to appoint a postdoc researcher. The program is specifically geared towards supporting promising young female researchers and scholars from regions which are usually not so well represented in the Western academic mainstream. I am specifically looking for young female researchers from Central and Eastern Europe, the Baltics, Caucasus, or Central Asia who work on modernism, abstraction, artists' networks, and the like.

Here the criteria for the program:

• doctorate completed within the last 4 years (postdocs) or 12 years (researchers)

• above-average publication record commensurate with career level (academic context will be considered)

• degrees/doctorates not completed in Germany

• no prior research stays in Germany (conference participation is OK)

• no German citizenship

• good knowledge of German or English, depending on research proposal

• the research fellowship should commence within 12 months of being granted

• no previous applications nor previous sponsorship in any of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s fellowship programmes

Anyone interested in the program, who fulfills the requirements listed above, should submit the following documents until August 15, 2022

- CV (no more than 2 pages)

- list of publications

- research proposal (2-3 pages)

- names/contacts of two references
