Please join us for the 3rd annual meeting of The Roundtable for Black Feminist and Womanist Theory, which will be held at Dartmouth College (Hanover, NH) from November 3-5, 2022. Scholars, artists, and activists are across all career stages, disciplines, and affiliations are encouraged to apply and attend. Graduate students and junior scholars are especially encourage to submit a proposal for consideration. Complete submissions include a 2-3 page (single or double space) detailed abstract, a 100-150 word author biography, and a bibliography of consulted material for the project that will be presented (this does not count towards the page limit). Panels may be submitted with one person listed as the contact liaison but the proposal must contact the biographical information for all panelists. Each session will be two hours with 30 minutes for presentation and 30 minutes for Q&A given to each presenter/panel. Submissions are due July 18th and decisions will be announced August 8th.

To ensure the greatest amount of flexibility and accessibility for attendees, the meeting will be hybrid (in-person and virtual). Our two illustrious keynotes this year will be Tiffany King (Women, Gender & Sexuality, University of Virginia) and Omise'eke Tinsley (Black Studies, University of California, Santa Barbara). Lindsey L. Stewart (Philosophy, University of Memphis) will be giving an invited talk as well, which certainly isn't to be missed! The link to register and submit a paper is here: If you plan on attending regardless if your paper is accepted or not, then please make sure to register as well! There is no registration fee, but registration is required to attend either the virtual or in-person component.

Please email with any questions and make sure to share with anyone who may be interested in attending and/or presenting!
