Reimagining Progression and Retrogression in History: 1st LSE Department of International History Student Conference

We are pleased to announce the 1st LSE Department of International History Student Conference, which will happen both in-person and online on June 17-18, 2022. 


Our conference attempts to explore the meanings of “progression” and “retrogression” in different regions and cultures from a historical perspective. We will have seven panels: History of Empire/Colonial History, Global Political History/Movements, Political History/Movements in the Global Cold War, Pro- and Retrogression between Polity and Economy,  International Order and Pre-Twentieth-century East Asia, Hong Kong in the Twentieth century and Contemporary China. 


Interested participants can register through the following link in person at G.01, 20 Kingsway (KSW), London School of Economics and Political Science on June 17th  from 10 am to 6 pm and June 18th from 9 am to 6pm. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Although we welcome everyone to attend in person, we can only offer 30 places due to the room capacity.
