In connection with the publication of History, Politics, Law: Thinking through the International (Cambridge University Press, 2021), the editors (Annabel Brett (Cambridge), Martti Koskenniemi (Helsinki) and Megan Donaldson (University College London)) are holding a hybrid doctoral workshop on 16 July 2022, based at University College London.
The workshop will explore intersections between law and history, including questions of method, as they emerge in concrete projects. Work will be circulated in advance to other participants only, and need not be polished papers—indeed it would preferably be work-in-progress. We are open to work on all periods, and from diverse historical or legal traditions, engaged in some way with histories of law beyond individual states.
Please send brief (500–1000 word) expressions of interest by **23 May 2022**. Further details on applications, and how the workshop will be structured, are here.
