The Italian Army in collaboration with the University of Padua and with the Institute of Political Studies "San Pio V" of Rome organizes for April 2018 an international study conference entitled "Dal Piave a Versailles" which will take place in Padua. The conference will consist of three panels: political, military and diplomatic.

The political panel will concern the analysis of the Orlando and Nitti governments, of the main political force, of economic and financial issues, of industrial mobilization and of patriotic and civil mobilization, of cultural and scientific aspects, of innovation and consequences. technology gained during the conflict.

The military panel will address the main war events of the period considered, with particular attention to the conduct of the war and its ends; the main battles and offensive; the army's specialties used in connection with the technological evolution of the war requirements; the role of the Navy and of Air Force; the scientific innovations applied to the war; the Italian war outside of Italy.

The diplomatic panel will focus on the main international events of those years: the modification of the war ends of Italy, inter-allied cooperation, relations with the SHS Kingdom, Italian diplomacy in Versailles and relations with the allies, the events of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia.

The thematic areas will have to be treated in their complexity, avoiding an excessive specialization and localization of the interventions. The languages ​​of the conference are Italian, English and French.
