Georgia, United States
Subject Fields:
American History / Studies

The Georgia Association of Historians represents all historians operating in the State of Georgia or surrounding states in any capacity, and its journal, the Journal of the Georgia Association of Historians continues that representation by offering a peer-reviewed publication venue to all historians working in Georgia and surrounding states as well as to all participants at the association’s annual conference.

Submissions are accepted in all fields of history and historical pedagogy, and they will be reviewed by two anonymous referees prior to a final decision on publication.

Potential articles should be prepared in a recent version of Microsoft Word. They should be double-spaced and conform in style to the latest edition of either Turabian’s Manual for Writers of Term Papers, Theses, and Dissertations or the Chicago Manual of Style.

The journal is published annually and distributed around the time of the annual GAH Conference in February of each year. Late spring or early summer submissions are preferred, but papers submitted by the end of September may be eligible for publication in the next issue, depending on the time required by reviewers and the extent of author revisions, if any, that are necessary.

Electronic submissions are preferred, but papers may be submitted to the editor in hard copy. Direct all proposed articles to:
