CFP: Asian Symposium on Human Rights Education

Join us for the three-day. international, peer-reviewed Asian Symposium on Human Rights Education held from Aug 2-4, 2014 at Hiroshima Mitsui Garden Hotel, Japan. The event is held jointly with the Asian Conference on Education for Sustainability and it precedes the 69th Hiroshima Peace Memorial and Remembrance Ceremony.

Aarhus University (Denmark) welcomes Ph.D.-level researchers in the growing field of sports labour migration for a three-day seminar, presentation, and workshop series featuring leading experts Professor Joseph Maguire, Professor Alan Klein, and Professor Niko Besnier. The series will take place June 17-20, 2014 at the Sandbjerg Estate. Accepted applicants will receive complimentary lodging, meals, and transportation to/from Billund Airport or Sønderborg train station. Registration is limited as there will be space for only 15 applicants.

Interrogating Citizenship, Race and Ethnic Relations

Now in its 7th year, the overall goal of this intensive two week course is to examine the contemporary circumstances of the African Diaspora in Europe. We will focus on the historical and colonial legacies of European countries to discuss the origins of Black Europe and investigate the impact of these legacies on policies and legislation today.
