In order to further Society for Historians of the Early American Republic’s mission to foster research on “the rich complexity and enduring significance of the early American republic,” SHEAR will offer four research fellowships to scholars examining Latinx, Indigenous, Asian American, Pacific Island, and/or African diasporic history from 1776 to 1861

Fellowships Available for CrossCurrents Research Colloquium

Fellowships are available for the annual CrossCurrents Research Colloquium to be held July 6 - July 24 in New York. Applicants will have a project proposal on the theme "Oppressions and Repair." The Colloquium is residential and provides fellows with room and board (vegetarian/kosher food available) as well as round trip travel to and from New York.

The Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts announces its program for Paul Mellon and Ailsa Mellon Bruce Visiting Senior Fellowships. Fellowships are for full-time research, and scholars are expected to reside in Washington and to participate in the activities of the Center throughout the fellowship period. Lectures, colloquia, and informal discussions complement the fellowship program. Each visiting senior fellow is provided with a study.
