On behalf of the North Carolina German Studies Seminar, it is my pleasure to announce this year's Konrad Jarausch Essay Prize for Advanced Graduate Students in Central European History. Full details can be found here. This annual prize honors Professor Dr. Konrad H. Jarausch, the Lurcy Professor of European Civilization at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his long commitment to graduate student instruction. The hope is to discover and reward the most exciting work being done by advanced graduate students in Central European history and related fields such as Holocaust Studies. Any doctoral student at a North American university is eligible. The recipient will also be invited to give a talk and flown to UNC-Chapel Hill. The deadline is April 30.

All the very best and please feel free to reach out with any questions!
